ITASCA MUSEUM
Our newest exhibit “River Room” is an interpretative site on the Great River Road Mississippi River Tour. It showcases steamboats, early ages, the Dam story of Blandin Paper Company, the Charles Smith Chippewa Indian Legacy, Wild Ricing, Showboat and the current River Walk. The Garland Exhibit tells of Frances Ethel Gumm (Judy Garland) as her family lived in Grand Rapids and managed the local theater. The museum Itasca Logging, , CCC Camps, Nashwauk-Cooley Model Trains, American Indian Niimi’idiwin, Itasca County Schools, and many more…
Our museum also includes a model train of Nashwauk and Cooley, American Indian Niimi’idiwin, the picture “Grace,” Itasca County Schools, and CCC Camps-Logging.
